Xin Han is a PhD student at the Graduate School of Public and International Affairs at the University of Pittsburgh. Her major fields at GSPIA are public administration and international development. Her research interests include polycentric governance, collaborative governance, digital self-governance, Chinese political economy, local governance and rural development in Asian developing countries. Her current research focuses on the space and patterns of digital self-governance, collaborative/interactive governance in China, and how the Chinese welfare state transforms the civil society in the dynamic process of rural reconstruction campaigns and the most recent targeted poverty alleviation program (2015-2020).
