Maxwell DeGregorio is a graduate student in the Master for International Development program at University of Pittsburgh, concentrating on governance and international public management. His focus is on the role of regional economic integration on developing countries. In particular, he is interested how the governance of monetary, customs, and economic unions in developing regions affect intraregional trade, capital flows, and human development. His most recent research looks at recent reform to the governance of the Central Bank of West African States and the reform’s effects on the region’s monetary policy response to COVID-19. He earned a degree in finance and French language at the University of Pittsburgh.
