Turkish Foreign Policy towards Afghanistan during the Justice and Development Party (JDP) Era
The aim of this presentation is first to examine the key determinants of Turkish Foreign Policy (TFP) during the Justice and Development Party Era, and second to explore TFP torwards Afghanistan. This talk particularly focuses on what NATO withdrawal from Afghanistan means for Turkey, and how Turkey responds to Taliban takeover.
Professor Gorkem Atsungur, the Head of the Social Science Division and Chair of the Department of International and Comparative Politics at the American University of Central Asia, is visiting the Center for Governance and Markets as part of our partnership with the Open Society University Network to share his groundbreaking research on Turkish Foreign Policy.
